We are proud to support GB Boarder Cross Athletes Thomas White (pictured right) & Brandon  Cain (pictured left).  

 

Thomas White

At age 23, this is Tom's first season with the GB Boarder-Cross Team out in Austria where he'll compete amongst the best in the world and look to challenge his love and passion for snowboarding.

 

 

 

It was whilst studying at College, Tom decided to take up snowboarding and challenge himself in a completely new sport. From that very first day he absolutely loved it and went on to complete his Level One Instructor Course, allowing him to gain employment at Manchester Chill Factore, where he coached boarding and also headed up the snow park as park shaper.  Tom’s success in UK competitions in 2017 led to his selection for the British Ski and Snowboard Cross GBX squad.  He is now half way through a 6 month training programme with the squad in Innsbruck.

Brandon Cain

Brandon has been racing for the last year and a half and with his success in both junior and senior events, including two Europa Cups. He is aiming to qualify for the World Cup team in the next couple of years as well as the 2022 Olympics.  Despite sustaining a life threatening injury out in Innsbruck a few weeks ago, Brandon is recovering well and is determined to return to training by the end of the month.  Brandon says "There is no other place like the mountains when it comes to lifestyle, if theres a place to be it's definitely a snowy powder day riding with my team mates, it's like surfing on a cloud with your closest friends!”
